Sorry John but no one these days does gardening in a shirt and tie and never ever do they hold their pipe in their hand or in their mouth while gardening:euw:s00k he was more for the :old: er generation:D

Honey Bee Chris Beardshaw is just the right height for me as I am only 5ft 1" so I would say he was lush or is it fit these days :flwsml:

Hel,yes Sean Bean is ok and with a surname like Bean he would go down well.Sean Connery would be good but he needs a tad more hair for my liking:hehe:

The list is too long ladies-let's agree that there is nothing more tempting to a woman with eyes than a fella as likes to get a bit "physical" in the green lol. In fact, we have cracked the case as to why GW is lacking a certain something. Geoff HAmilton had "it", I'm told Alan had "it", and I can definitely see that Monty had "it". Toby Buckland??? Nah. Get Sean Bean in, and it's saved lol.

And let's not be stingy to the fellas, Rachel de Thame had "it" in bucketloads. Maybe some like Alys, but I can't see it personally.

What are you ladies like! Kandy - perhaps I'll give up handling my pipe in the garden now you've pointed that bad habit out :lollol:

I have a friend who looks like Monty Don, its really annoying because just walking down the street with him ladies just gawp at him and in Pubs come up to him asking if he really is Monty. My friend doesn't know a thing about gardening so its obviously not that ...

One of my friends is the spitting image of Sue Tully of Eastenders fame, we really do get "MEEEEEEEE CHELLE" screamed at us.

The Beeb don't care what gardeners think of their programme or they would look in on our forums to find out.

Even my college tutor brought up the subject of Gardeners World and his dislike of the new format...

and I quote "the problem is that most people who watch gardeners world already have an interest in gardening and so feel left out, and the people who would like to start gardening are more intelligent than what the bbc seems to think and feel spoken down too"

I used to enjoy it very much but I'm afraid I must agree when people say it's been going downhill....

I have to agree its gone downhill...bring bck Monty, I miss him. Tht stupid nonsense in the shed at the end where they put things on the board!
The thing is theres so many gardening programmes on...like the ones tht change ppls gardens..I suppose they r the reality ones (which i detest) and r more about the presenters than gardening. i wanna learn things. I think I go and have my say on GW.

I feel really sorry for the gw presenters,it is the clarty infantile producers who make the programme who ar to blame.I'll bet they've never seen a garden.

I agree with all of you who are as disapointed with GW as I am, I found a gardening program on a sky channel last year called the Big Dig mostly on alottments in different parts of the country but unfortunately i think they only did the 1 series why do they tempt us with good programs and then let it all go pear shaped and leave us disapointed and frustrated.
