Your garden sounds delightful Alana. I like curvy lines and wandering paths too. We've not had any significant rain hear in East Sussex either.

I was digging over a client's border yesterday and the stretch which had had the sprinkler on it for a couple of hours was lovely to dig. The bit that had remained dry, was like concrete and I had to give up, couldn't even get the fork in.
