A friend very kindly recently sent me seeds for a large number of differant Salvias. So its going to have to be a Salvia year.

This one of the seeds that I have been sent. It was found by chance in the garden of this couple in America, and is not available commercially. No-one is quite sure exactly what it is, but it is thought to be a cross between Salvia splendens (the dumpy little bedding plant) and an anabolic steroid tablet. Its grown as an annual.

Peter, I am surprised it isn't called Salvia Hedgifolia, you will have to tell us how big it gets in a season here. [IMG]

:D :D :D I can't believe that it will be as big in a colder climate - but I look forward to finding out. My first seed, along with some others, is already growing in my light box. But I could have a space problem before the warm weather sets in!

That's fantastic, Peter ... I bought another one, blue (not technical enough yet to know which) yesterday.

Perhaps this lovely old couple are midgets or leprechauns. :D
