Enjoying all your posts & pictures. Alp hoping you had a splendid trip & glad you found time to witness some garden inspiration. The end of June is the pinnacle of the season for me.

Lupins & Delphiniums are still going strong with more flower shoots emerging, managing to keep the powdery mildew at bay after all this drought. However, the heavens have just opened :love30: particularly hoping you receive some Alp - it really must be bone dry there in the Essex Sahara. :snorky:

Enjoying the scent of trachelospermum jasminoides, a real stunner that was brought for my birthday last year. Looking forward to the Hydrangeas, Agastaches, Salvias, Penstemons & Geranium Rozanne taking lead. The Aquilegias & foxgloves are over, everything is definitely 2-3 weeks ahead here this year.

Will keep my eyes peeled for Salvia Guanajuato & Agastache Kudos Mandarin at Hampton Court/Wisley RHS shop next week. Will be my birthday treat to myself :yay:

The hanging baskets are beautiful. I have yet to master the art of planting them up and keeping them looking good.

@Verdun stop rubbing it in. My garden soil is still dusty and it's now 6pm. :wallbanging::wallbanging::wallbanging:

I do think rose cuttings are easy to roots. I have gone around with scissors and those from last year are now flowering. Hope I can come across one like yours..

@Mark56 Missed your post a bit. Yes, I reckon this is the best time to go round RHS or other gardening places.. I so want to see the salvia nursery in Kent. I wonder if our lovely @Tetters knows the address. I remember seeing this man talking about his salvias in his garden in Kent. I must google it myself. It is raining and I went out to speed up the gutter water flow. One of my skywater gutter is out of sync and I could hear the waterfall from that spot. Going to be troublesome to have it repaired. I cleared all the mess in the rain gutter attached to the lean to and hopefully I will have 2 little butts full of water before I go to bed. It had been do dry here.

Talking about fragrance: Ex asked me what the lovely fragrance was in the garden. I have lovely jasmines, trachelospermum jasminoides and honeysuckles. He made me laugh when he said if the perfume came from the Clematis Jackmanii. No, I need to buy some scented clematises.. The scent has been lovely. In the lean to, the perfume from the double lilies Isabelle and Elena has been heavenly.
