            MAGNIFICENT! @Logan

I think I should seriously look at growing fruits.. I never bothered to water my strawberries and they just shrivelled in the Essex desert!

Beware of birds tomorrow as birds tend to empty the fruits from trees after rain. That's why I have learned about rain, birds and cherries.

Back from Hampton Court, which was a true scorcher.. 29c full blazing sun. My favourite was the Blind Veterans garden, the perennial colours were an absolute dream. Also saw Monty filming in the Plants Marquee, possibly for the show tonight at 9.30pm BBC2. The lavender display was out of this world.. Pickup any agastaches Mark?
Tele wise we are in for a treat tonight........Love your Garden and Hampton Court :)
Like everywhere it seems it has been a scorcher today......quick dip in the sea cooled things down a bit
Picked blueberries......well netted so the blackbirds had no chance! Gave away my most productive bush over the winter so crop will be less this year. Anyway, getting a few peaches now so not too bad.
                Stay cool folks

@alp - your fuchsias and hydrangeas are lovely! I never used to like hydrangeas, but over the past few years I have really warmed to them to the point I now have an Annabelle in my garden.

@Mark56 - how was your journey to Hampton Court? Roads were mayhem around here this morning, and the trains were pretty comprehensively knackered as well.

Roasting hot - 32º according to the car on the way home, however our new air con unit has proved its worth, and the living room has not gone above 23.6º all day (I have been monitoring it remotely via Hive); it is blissful in here this evening.

Everything is watered and the sprinkler is now on watering in the weed and feed that I lobbed onto the lawn last night. Off now to fit a new bog seat before dinner (such an exciting life I lead.....)

Not to bad Fat Controller, we took the scenic route & left super early to avoid quite a lot of the traffic :) People were passing out left, right and centre at the show though.

Verd, I purchased Salvia patens, Black & Blue + Agastache Summer glow

Wow, must have been a lovely day at Hampton Court, @Mark56 ! Such a charming setting. I'd love a Salvia Patens as well. I bought the seeds again and again and now I have planted out every tiny seedling, but Salvia Patens is still an aspiration... None in sight in the garden. I'm surprised you didn't take more photos.. Lovely snaps.

@Fat Controller I never really liked hydrangeas as they look like a mess when they die off and they look brown and awful in a massive dry clump, but the more I see them, I more I like them, especially those with small flowers ... Never very keen on big flowers.

                        Nice plants Mark :)
Re patens did you get dark or pale blue? Both are great but the pale blue, Cambridge, is a joy.

Hydrangeas are OK  (They get upset if you say you don't like them :nonofinger: :heehee:)

The first two, here, are pensioners and were born in the early fifties :old: They're no trouble and just sit in the sun all day

Annabelle is just a youngster at 10 years old and can get a bit unruly (typical kid!) but loves to flop around in the rain. :noidea: :)
