I bought them indoors and still they both died on me. Cry me a river. If I see the Imperata again, I will BREAK the bank!:)

Bought £90 of tiles and have no tilers. Might do it ourselves. Need to get all the materials on Wednesday (pensioner's savings) and do it on a cool night or day.

Been to see a potential tiler, but he's too busy with his student. Fully booked until September .. Enough to make me cry.

Got some lovely hydrangea from him and ate his nasturtium flower. Examined the leaky butt and found out that it came with a leak which had been poorly touched up, not to mentioned the dent in the bottom. That online purchase for you. Very nasty.

Thought it was going to be cooler. No, said it too soon. Thank heavens we didn't go to Wisley or we would be toasted. Surrey Red Hill is always the hottest spot around that way. Love to live in Surrey that - so much green area.. I had to dream or else life would be so boring.

@alp yes we waited a few months when we had the bathroom done. They had someone to do the tyling. If you wanted to do it yourself,go on utube and you'll need a tile cutter. Just came back from friends, he's had trouble with his carers. They didn't know what to do.He had to tell them. It's so frustrating for him, if he gets stressed out he has a relapse with his MS. Watching the Marx brothers on utube with him. One of the Brothers played the piano in the films.watched 10 clips of films playing the piano.

@alp as long as the floor is level, you should be ok. It's just like tiling the walls.

                    Good morning all.

Yesterday was too hot for gardening so just did watering and picking. This morning I want to mow before too many bees get on the clover so shall start in a few minutes.

Friends coming today so planning what to cook for them. Worked it out whilst sitting here and typing :ideaIPB:. Courgette and asparagus soup made with coconut milk (didn't grow the coconuts :heehee:). Chicken casserole with garlic and rosemary roasted potatoes and stir fry veg. Followed by chocolate and orange pots and fresh fruit salad (pineapple, mango, melon, raspberries and blueberries). Most of it can be done before they arrive :dbgrtmb:

                    Enjoy your day.

Wow , you've got yourself a job there @alp , but as @Logan said just make sure you have a level surface and invest in a good quality tile cutter. Hubs did our tiling when we rebuild our house and as far as I can remember it all went smoothly.!

Sorry to hear of your friend's situation @Logan, so very sad!

                        Morning everyone.

Just logged on and found the above post that I wrote yesterday but for some reason it didn't get sent.....so there it is...better late than never!!!:snorky:

Well another scorcher in store for us today.

Find that working outside in the evening the best bet at the moment, as it's frying heat during the day!
Inside jobs are the safest solution......even baked a cake yesterday.......:snorky: Yes I know..the sun has truly gone to my head.....me baking!!!!:thud:

Plan at some point today is to squeeze in the last of my bargains buys from last weekend, after rescuing them from the sick bay I cut them back ,repotted and watered them and thought it best to leave them be for a week to recover , most of the geraniums are budding up now and will be out in flower soon!
                        :doctor: + +:grphg: =:hapflowers2:
Warms the cockles of my heart to see a poorly plant recover and do what it's supposed to do...........bloom!:)

Have a Super Smooth Flowing Sunday everyone......keep chilled!:dbgrtmb:
