Good morning to all. Got up 6.15am and did a lot of watering. Had to go to B&Q to buy some fittings for the water butt and son is trying to repair the butt. The butt came with a dent and two repaired spot. The dent was noticed when the butt couldn't sit still and tumbled on to the ground. But the leak was only found out a few days ago. Internet shopping for you. No wonder the man said I could refuse delivery. And I was asking myself why I would do that.

Lovely agapanthus - nearly neon blue in colour. Gorgeous roses as well. Always love your roses. Can't believe your lavender can be so tall! The bees must be drunk hovering around. Sun has just come out and another scorcher is expected. Hope you have a nice day, @Upsydaisy . I'm out to feast my eyes on the latest beauties in gardening sections of the diy stores.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes, had friends & family over last night & it was one of THOSE nights. :Wino:Sore head this morning, the garden will be lucky to get a look in today, perhaps some GC retail therapy is in order.

Enjoying all your delightful pictures, lots of colour & bee friendly planting. Verdun, keep the border pictures coming, I'm very intrigued.

Didn't mow as there were too many bees on the clover. I'll get out there earlier tomorrow so no lying in for neighbours. :snorky:

Edged lawns instead and wound in some of the beans. :blue thumb:

Good morning, @Logan and all who drop by later!

A grey and OK day, not too hot or cold. Praying for me today. Just looked at the weather report. Yesterday, it said there were rains flashing through Essex and just outside London. Today, there is no rain at all predicted here! How useless is the weather report!?

@alp you might get some rain tomorrow. It's going to be a bit more unsettled through the rest of the week. Going to plant some snapdragons in pots, instead of clearing some weeds for them.Have you thought about a head band for the persperation?

                          Good morning folks :)
Light rain right now and feeling (pleasantly) cooler.
At some stage today I need to replace pulley rope on clothes line. Routine task but better done when dry.

Good morning! Hope everyone is on top form and raring to start the new week!

@alp we're still waiting for last week's promised rain!! One minute it's on the forecast ...the next it's disappeared!!
Our water butts are completely dry ...all 5 of them and the two big 'water bins' as well.
Can't understand why or how they have got it so wrong of late:noidea:

Off to see my dad soon as he had another fall yesterday and has hurt his arm and all his left side is aching today! Thankfully his neighbour came to his rescue and got him back inside and cleaned him up and dressed his wounds before phoning me up. My sister was planning on seeing him that day so she went over and reported back that he was fine just a bit bruised......but I will also check too. He's very stubborn at times... won't hear of us taking him to his Dr for a check over !!

Anyway have a Magic Monday everyone!

@Upsydaisy Thank heavens his neighbour came to his rescue.. More travail for you, especially when you're not well yourself. Son mended the leaky butt and we're preparing for the neon blobs .. I think we're going to miss the blobs, not to say neon or yellow or green... Funny, I also have a rubbish tub for rainwater. So desperate for the liquid gold that I pulled out all the plants to have a drink when it rained. ..
