You need a sense of humour when things are stacked against you and gardeners have to be optimists. Hope you get it all sorted out for saturday and have a great day. [IMG]

Wishing Mrs Pal all the best for Saturday. [IMG]

We gardeners could start a new trend, do gardening in bikinis or swim trunks!
Get a rust burn instead of all the pain of sunburn [IMG]
Or we could multy task and take the shampoo and shower gel! [IMG]

Should change the title to gardening after the gales. We had one last night which completely destroyed the Marquee put up for the party. Too late now to go and get another and erect it. So pray for nice weather!

Thanks folks. Sun is shining at present and the signs look promising.
Must say the garden looks quite nice as well.

I especially like the last cartoon, in which the question is posed "At what point does it [the rain] stop being 'good for the garden'?" :D :D

This is something that has been worrying me more than somewhat over the past few days....because I have a container garden on a terrace, and if the containers get waterlogged the roots could rot...

Thanks again everyone. The party was very successful and the weather very kind. Everyone was stunned by the garden which is gratifying. Today we were exhausted. I have no voice left afer doing the full tour 5 times with various groups and I walked for miles. Well worth it though!

Glad it went so well - and not surprised you ended touring groups round your lovely garden.

Congratulations - and enjoy the rest after your exertions.
