We went to Trethew garden in Lanlivery, open for the NGS garden scheme. Sorry I didn't take any photos as I have only just found this thread. You can google it. I think it is open again later in the year. A lovely (big) cottage garden. The view from the car parking field is worth the £5 entrance on its own. You do need not to mind driving down narrow country roads however. There are passing places.

Hoping the weather stays kind so that we can visit The Rib in Wells tomorrow as part of the NGS. Always admired if from a far and hope to be able to see so much more.

Don’t think we’ll manage a trip to Arley Hall this year so here are a few pics from a couple of years ago

Visited The Rib in Wells for NGS as weather stayed kind. The magnificent Cornus controversa Variegata certainly takes your breath away. Beautiful setting at the end of the Cathedral. Met and chatted with some lovely people.

RHS Bridgewater decided to have a late-opening to celebrate the solstice. Unfortunately, for some reason they decided to stage the event the following evening, which was cloudy with light showers, while on the solstice itself there wasn't a cloud in the sky!

The Chinese waterside garden has changed enormously since the garden opened, it is now packed with candelabra primroses.

I visited RHS Bridgewater this month. Sadly it rained a lot.
I'd love to go back on a sunny day, but how do you plan that in advance?

We are on holiday in the Lake District. Yesterday we went to a beautiful garden, Holehird, near Windermere.

In the afternoon we went on a boat trip on Ullswater. The photos don't do the scenery justice.

@Busy-Lizzie we tried for many years to grow Meconopsis but with no success. Such a beautiful soft blue. Lovely photo.
