I'd just like to say thank you to everyone for posting these photos.

The last garden visit I had was back in February 2020, and since then due to family commitments a day out has been next to impossible, let alone a holiday.
I can visit vicariously, so thank you so much.

Just to be cheeky, if anyone has visited Bourton House Garden in Gloucestershire this year, any chance of a photo or two ? Adam Frost visited it on Gardeners's World around August 2019 and its been on my Bucket List ever since. This year has fallen through yet again, so I have my fingers crossed for next year !

@AnniD I visited Bourton House years ago, really lovely. I think it has been sold since then and is still beautiful. I hope someone has photos.

We visited Barrington Court in Somerset today as part of the Heritage Open Days. A beautiful sunny day with hardly any WIND! Fabulous. The 2 house aren't open as they are doing major works to restore them but they had one area open with the history behind the Court and some lovely rooms to see.
The kitchen garden was disappointing as most under weed suppressant. The white garden was beautiful. The long walk had a great collection of plants still in full flower. We then walked through orchards and grassy areas and so many tulip trees. Amazing number but then there is the space.

We visited Compton Acres Gardens in Poole, Dorset on Wednesday. It's an interesting and varied garden built in a steep ravine overlooking Poole harbour/Sandbanks although the trees have almost obscured that view now. The various gardens are Italian, woodland, sculpture, Japanese etc with lots of narrow and some steep ones. There is a good cafe, garden shop etc and car park.

It was on Gardeners' World recently. There was still a lot of colour and the big pots were wonderful. The veg garden was full of flowers as well as veg. There were a lot of people, we had to queue to get in, maybe because of being on GW.

We had a GC forum group visit to the Old Vicarage some years ago, it was wonderful. I'd love to go back, great to see it again, thanks @Busy-Lizzie

Glorious pictures @Busy-Lizzie. Absolutely love the massed Symphyotrichums. Dearie me but it was so much easier when they were called Asters!

Not a garden but a nursery visited with the gardening club on Sunday - Ripaud in Cheffois. 110 hectares of land, greenhouses and 2 lakes full of plants being grown for sale. They propagate everything from seeds, cuttings, divisions, grafting and micro propagation in specialised greenhouses and then grow them on for sale. All done by 50 staff and 3 directors who get their hands dirty. Impressive.
