    Hi NewbieGreen. From what I understand, the cold of winter helps the cloves to divide. Maybe otherwise you just end up with one big clove ?

    I have a breed called elephant garlic..I planted in February...and it looks like blind daffodils very green and lots of leaves..this is my first attempt..is this how they should be ?
