        I have started using Comfrey tea to feed my pumpkins, it does half stink :redface:

          Still no males on mine :( Rest of the females wont be ready for a few days yet :( Plants are getting a bit too big too (missus says they get more attention than she does) :D

            lol I've had that said to me too smiley.

            loli that is a great picture you can actually see the bumble drinking, amazing. we have so many bumble bee nests in the ground under our privet that I cant cut the damn thing for fear of getting stung. I just think bumble bees look really cute, someone should feed one steroids or something so that it grows big enough to cuddle in to lol.

              I got LOADS of ants trying to get into my closed female flowers and loads of little black flee sized beetle things all over one of my males that opened this morning. hope they are just after the nectar and I don't have some sort of squash beetle infestation or something.

                So I've got 2 pumpkins growing now. when do I need to raise them off the ground and from what point do I need to shield them from the sunlight?

                Taken today had a mess round at getting a weight think its around 55 lb
                Loving growing these can not wait to see how much it's grown evey day

                      Finally got some pollination :biggrin:

                      Pollinated 2 females

                      Bit deformed this one - seeds in the flower???

                      Do people leave the unpollinated females on the plant or chop them off?

                        I have been removing them and any pumpkins that are in a bad place on the vine or to get to
                        Congratulations on pollinating too hope it set for you
