    jack-o lanterns and sugar. I've not had any flowers on my sugar pumpkin plants so far.

          thanks, yours also looking good :) its a Ghost Rider. We have two plants with one pumpkin on each. The one in the photo above has now changed to orange but seems to have slowed down growth. Its still on the vine at the moment as the leaves are still in good condition and I read to leave it on til they start wilting. Also been researching how to preserve it til Halloween. Your right they really do grow fast after pollination. I hand pollinated 4 but only two survived. think the heat wave is over so back to our usual Scottish weather, much cooler.

          Y will you need to preserve your pumpkins will they not keep on the vine till Halloween
          Mine have slowed down the last few days too maybe because we are getting less sun

          Pollinated 3 more females this morning - they hadn't fully opened but I had to leave for work - still should be OK though

          Need to do a bit of pruning, after the heavy rain on Monday night they have grown like mad

              Mines coming on a treat - will upload a picture later

              I'm measuring the circumference every day, about 50-60mm increase :O
