          yeah that's a big un. ill start using the OTT method when it gets too heavy for my small kitchen scales which will be soon, they are only rated for 3kg and its just gone over the 2kg mark. its put on 200g in 24 hours

            Flippin' 'eck, your pumpkin looks huge!!! You given it a name yet?

            Not been measuring mine, the scratches are from moving it from under the stem, should've been more careful!

                  I'm now wondering how bad the bigger pumpkins taste compared to the smaller eating ones. I've only ever tasted the Jacko lantern pumpkin's as that is all we get in the shops round here. Has any one else tasted the difference?

                  I have never even tryed pumpkin but I'm thinking now I will be eating plenty of it lol I have got another on the same vine as the big one about 13 foot out from the base that's starting to grow well its 80 cm in circumference but I Brock off the growing tip of the main vine yesterday tring to climb round the pumpkin plants so was really annoyed with my self

                  that's probably a good thing. ive heard that you should cut the stem when grows to about 12ft any ways to encourage secondary vines to grow and the plant to put more energy into growing the pumpkin

                    I nipped the end off my main plant yesterday and will do the other once i know the other little pumpkin is happy......got to get some strength in them some how....if that doesn't work i'll get a foot pump;)
