Last year I really struggled with a single plant to achieve pollination, it was Sept 18th before I got male and female flowers at the same time and got one fruit to finally start growing. It eventually grew to a titchy 4 lbs. So unless there is an Indian summer, your pumpkin should be swelling by now to get to a reasonable size by Halloween.

ive got a few ok ish sized ones now ill have to take some photos. im just leaving all except my sweet pumpkins to pollinate themselves now. don't think they will though I haven't had any male flowers on any of my plants that are fertile they all look mutated and have no pollen ill take a few pictures of them too.

Heres my babies, 1 from each plant

The deformed one (one side is much fatter than the other when looked at from the top)

Main one - not the biggest (yet) but is growing the fastest

Looking promising that i'll have something of a reasonable size :) The one in the previous pics stopped growing so had to chop it off :(

Just got round to uploading the picks I said I would last week. so has any one else had any flowers like the ones below? all my male flowers are deformed like that without a grain of pollen, its just a good job my dad has viable flowers that I've been able to use. you cant see too well in the picture but my first pumpkin is starting to turn orange now.

One of my plants seems to have stopped growing, the pumpkin has hardly swelled. The other plant is doing better. Spot the pumpkin at the bottom right, it's about 30" around:

Mine are definitely not going to win any contest but I'm proud of what I've achieved coming from being a complete novice before I started. Bring on next year though. I've got a few tricks up my sleeve and tips I've picked up from this year. If nothing else ill be making allot of pies and soup soon lol.
