Awwww NG! Think positive! She may have forgotten to charge her phone after all the new year texting to her friends.

Or, she may be doing the reverse of what Clueless suggested......playing it cool for a couple of days before she replies.

She doesn't live in the area she was staying in so must have forgotten her charger

 

Your text message might be number 75 of 300 unread messages, almost all of which will say "happy New year" and were only sent because someone tested everyone in their contact list while drunk, and can safely be deleted without even being read.

If you haven't had a reply within a couple of days you could always fall back to an old fashioned comms method that we used when I were a lad, and actually attempt to initiate full duplex audio link (ie phone her).

Sometimes in life we just have to put ourselves forward. If it is meant to be, then you'll have to speak to her at some point. Unless your looking for an SMS relationship, in which case I'm toldyou can get that without all the awkwardness, from less than a quid per go.

What if she also feels too shy? She might be waiting for you to make a move because she's too shy to do so.

It all might come to nowt. Equally this could be a match destined to happen. You'll never know if you don't put yourself out there.

Oh, and while I was writing the above, my brain was working so hard in its attempt to say what I mean without accidental innuendos

You don't need me to tell you that no two people are the same. If you're going to base your expectations and assumptions on past relationships then the best you can expect is something like those past relationships. You need to approach each situation like the brand new situation it is.
