I've always been a floating voter so have voted for various parties over the years.

I voted Labour last time because I couldn't stand Cameron. I've done a complete about turn and actually quite like him now. It's made me realise that I should've delved deeper into their policies last time round.

Whilst I don't agree with all the Conservatives' policies, I agree with a lot more of theirs than Labour's. For me, a stable economy is a priority, as is a referendum on the EU.

Red Ed is a blithering buffoon and I wouldn't trust him to tie his own shoelaces.

In our constituency we have Bez of Happy Mondays fame standing for election, as well as someone from the Pirate party, so I've got lots of choice :rolleyespink:

I agree wholeheartedly with this. :blue thumb:

    And this :blue thumb:

But I think that this is just partisan. There's not a snowball's chance in hell of any of the political parties implementing it. Any party that might (whoops, I just saw a pig fly by!) also doesn't stand a chance of getting into power.

As individuals, most people of this country, and others, want to buy things as cheaply as possible and don't give a damn about how it's produced. They're only bothered by it in an intellectual way and not a practical way.

As I know all our local candidates I shall be voting for the one that does the best for the constituency - not for me, but for what is best here. In the past I've voted for both Labour and Tories and we have had some extremely able MP's that work hard for the area - even if it's against party policy.

I'm pleased that there is only one worthwhile candidate this time because there have been some awful, dirty trick by the other party.

It's strange because of all the leaders it is only RedEd who strikes me as having any great intelligence.
Interesting insight into Camoclowns political motivation at 28.15 in this program...............

To help me decide who to vote for, I've been giving Pup any election leaflets that come through the door to seek his views on the candidates:

        Got Conservatives leaflet today .....

He snatched the UKIP leaflet out of the letterbox and tore it up in a frenzy.

If that bloke is intelligent he is doing a very good job of hiding it.

Its always easier for the opposition to come up with the common sense, once they get into power, common sense goes out the window and its business as usual.

These people dont actually run the country, they only try to put their slant on it.
None of them are actually intelligent enough to run a piss up in a brewery, its the ones that we dont see, that dont change, that run the country.

True ... by the time you take into account all the organisations we (UK) are members of (and who lay down their own agendas: EU, WTO, IMF, etc, etc, ) the Cabinet have ever limiting powers/roles.

We have the good fortune(?) to live in one of the hotly contested 'key marginal' constituencies which will ultimately decide the result of the election.

We've had polling organisations phoning us, eager to get our views on the forthcoming vote, (not telling).

I've been doorstepped by a representative of one party, who asked me if I would be voting, ("Yes"), and who for ("That's between me and the ballot box"), whereupon he wrote something on his clipboard and toddled off to bother someone else.

We must have had a whole forest's worth of leaflets and letters through our letterbox in the past month or so, arriving on a daily basis.

Why, I've even had letters personally written and addressed to me from Mr Cameron and Mr Milliband. Isn't that nice of them!
                :wub2:

Yes, I do know who I'll be voting for. No, I'm not saying who. Part of the democratic process in this country is the right to a secret ballot and I'm keeping it that way. :th scifD36:

SNP for me . No choice really. Lib dems are hopeless, labour are weak ,I dont trust the conservatives, and ukip are offensive hypocrites.
That leaves SNP or greens so SNP it is.

                  I agree Shiney.
I think that people will realise who I'm voting for from my comments above. We have had a fantasticly hard working MP for the last 5 yrs, he's worked really hard for his constituency and also for the country working upto being a Treasury office secretary.
I don't see any reason why anyone of sound mind would vote out someone who has regenerated a town that was dying and on it's way to oblivion.

I think too many people forget that whichever party they vote for it is also their responsibility to vote for someone who will do good for their own area.

No.. I travel all over the UK and the Midlands in particular and the story is the same all over. It is and has been a hot topic for some time now as immigration is at the top of the conversational pile.

Many parts of the country have far more than we in rural Worcestershire do ! Scotland in my experience has quite a few less EU migrants than elsewhere.

I think this is the problem with the system, if you vote for the person, ...you actually get the party that they represent in power,... over the whole country.
That person is quite irrelevant, as they must follow part lines, regardless of their own thinking.

They might try to do the odd bit locally, but nationally they must follow party lines, or suffer the consequences.
