Take the person out of the equation and consider the policies only.
And if you get really, really stuck ... there are several online quizzes you can do to focus your thoughts :heehee:

You only get to vote for your local MP, forget the leaders you aren't voting for them.

One thing i dont like about politics is stuff like this

In my opinion if your policies are strong enough then you dont have to lead with stuff like this on your marketing material. If you do need to shame/belittle etc other parties to win votes then I think you should really look at your own party and its policies and ensure they are strong enough and what people want rather than focussing on what other parties are doing

I have the same view when it comes to marketing of products/services too if you have to point out the failings of other products/companies to sell yours then i wont be buying.

This really makes me cross  it shows that they are prepared to joke about something which should be taken much more seriously. Running a Country, shaping peoples lives and they think it is a joke!!!!!!!! But then they can afford to joke, if Mrs David Cameron or Mrs Ed Milliband were taken ill I can guarantee they won't be left on a trolley in a corridor!!!! Oooh this does make me angry.

Difficult this time ain't it !
( what is the BMP party as mentioned in posts above , do they mean BNP ? )
The tories really do need to be kept in check . Labour haven't got the nations confidence back - unsurprisingly . So how we get a government - who knows ?

I'm not going to get involved in the "who's voting for who" business, but I can contribute this: I was an A & E Care Manager until I had my breakdown 5 years ago. I worked on the frontline for 17+ years, over 6 hospitals in the South East. Truthfully I can say I have NEVER seen it as bad as it is now. There was of course, always "code black" days when there were no beds left, but they were few and far between. It's every day now and they continue to close wards as there is nobody to staff them. I could tell you things that would make you shudder re cover ups, risks, bodies being left on balconies as there was no porters to remove them and the bed was urgently needed etc etc ad infinitum. I don't post this to offend or challenge anybody or to try and sway a political opinion. But, I promise you, I am not lying or exaggerating either, just a view from the front line, that is all.

Yesterday Mrs Scrungee tried to make an appointment for her Father and was told the first date available was in May. Today she went to collect her Mother's repeat prescription (from another surgery) and it still hadn't been processed after 5 days and this happens time and time again. And there's politicians who think it's a good idea for GPs to take on the additional work of running their local hospitals.

Although I'm English I don't have a vote now living here but I can see how tough it is to make a decision.

Regarding Longk's quote above, I think he has a good point. Up until the coalition the Lib Dem's hadn't experienced the 'driving seat' of English politics. Nick Clegg and his party have had a taste of what it takes and I think they would now stand a better chance of gaining power. It's brought Nick and the Lib Dem's to maturity and I think he and the party could govern without disaster and gain respect on that world stage, if only votes would give them the chance.

 It is with a little regret I have to say that UKIP is the best thing to happen to British politics for years.
They have highlighted the fact that immigration is a problem for our country.
Our schools are full ,the NHS is at breaking point, there are not enough homes etc....etc.
Of course we need some immigration,we need people with special skills.
But an open door to all and sundry, the infrastructure just won't cope.
So now we are all talking about it and are allowed to discuss it we need a plan.
UKIP may not have all the answers but they have got us talking and that can't be bad.

We didn't really need UKIP for that.
The trouble is that we need immigrants. Too many Brits see unskilled work as beneath them, the City accountants don't want to pay a decent wage for unskilled workers, our pension system will collapse without them, the list goes on.
And if someone mentions overseas development aid there is uproar.

I am grateful that it is not up to me to find a way out of this corner though.
