Could you knock something like this up to let them grow up through?

Well I get up in a morning..............Oh my onions you mean:snork:...

Actually Freddy since potting on they've sat there on the bench day and night no protection apart from last night as there was a chance of frost so threw some fleece over them:blue thumb: For all they're small they look quite sturdy compared to my last two attempts. The last 2 years I kept them in a propagator at 13 degrees and was quite strict but this time they're better without my interference:dbgrtmb:

Mine went in yesterday, I've put some plastic sheets around them for protection:

Planted the remainder of my Bed Champs and Kelsae on the allotment. These are the smallest plants I had left, also I haven't prepared the bed very well, they will just have to take their chances:

                  Hi

We are newbies to onion growing and this year have grown mamouth onions from seed. After hardening off, the onions were planted outside 2 weeks ago.Should the young onions be watered and fed regularly at this stage? If so, can you recommend a good feed? Also, how do we achieve the mamouth size - do you have any tips or advice? Thanks.

You only need to make sure they don't dry out, they don't need a lot of watering :)

Personally I wouldn't feed them as it can make the bolt, but I know some of the others do.

Just planted mine out this morning DSCN1253.JPG

Thanks. Your onions are a bit bigger than mine in my raised bed.
