Thanks for that @JWK Having looked at the prices of them - I'll have to give them a miss. I'm currently watching 'how to make your own light box' videos on youtube!
I'm going to clear out the junk from the garage & set something up in there - hopefully.

          Well, they're popping up already!:hapydancsmil:
I'm now panicing as need to sort lights out. What is the best bulb (that would be available in a diy store) for these? I know there are bulbs that are called 'natural light' in pet shops - unsure if they would be ok? image.jpeg

You don't have to have lights Canny, a bright south facing windowsill will do. Have you a greenhouse? They can go in there once the seedlings get past the crook stage:

I have a greenhouse but it's unheated. I can't put them on a windowsill as the dogs will have them :doh:Do they come out of the propagator when they're past the crook stage too - or earlier?

They need light more than heat so , yes take them out of the propagator.

I'm waiting another couple of weeks before individually potting on, prick them out at the same depth they are now. I use 3" square pots.

I have moved my seedlings, which were in soil blocks, into cups that have a 4" rim. I plan on growing these in pots and am hoping the 1.5 gallon hanging pots I have are big enough to grow these to maturity...

                        or am I dreaming

Ideally they should go in the ground and that's what I do, I recall @Zigs had success growing them in pots though.

Don't grow them in pots, I dropped one on my foot and broke both the pot and my foot. A few days before breaking the other foot by kicking a tree stump :yikes::old:
