Actually not, because bonsai do not grow because their roots are confined to the pot.

This is a very good suggestion, *dim*, because as you grow old your world becomes smaller and smaller - the same as when you were a baby - and you don't really want to own too much or worry about anything else other than what is just in your immediate surroundings.

So a bonsai in that sense is a great way to have the inside world in your room.
