      I thought it was only a while ago that an increase in solar activity that would knock out the world's electronics such as computers, power stations, etc. was being forecast.

      What would be the effect of a Maunder Minimum on winter fuel payments? (and is that why politicians are talking about abolishing them?)

      Increase in activity such as sunspots would take out electronics, but the minimum is a drop in overall output.

      Might be a bit difficult to claim from under an ice sheet.

      Now I really don't know whether to put some of the Goat Willow I grow for fuel (and have just cut up) on the fire, or some of the coal we got half price last year because the bags were split.
