@John Harruison - I presume that you have lifted your tubers now. Did they multiply well in the garden?

It didn't look good through late summer into Autumn so I just left it in the ground and will see what happens, I don't think it was happy. Is it too late to lift?

It depends how deep the tubers are and what lows you've seen so far. Personally I think they may be toast but it will only take a couple of minutes to look. It is normal for a tuber to produce at least one good sized offset. Two large offsets is more common for me in pot culture.

If they have survived wipe them off carefully and pot them up ready for next year.

Worth putting a fork in still I reckon. The ground will have been warmer.

This is it, whats the verdict. The top part is new, seems okay to me. Do I just store it like a bulb, somewhere dry and frost free, in newspaper?

They look healthy enough to me.

Not the best photo, but is the centre spur this years tuber and the other two the babies?

Pot them up in damp (not moist, not wet) compost with sand mixed in and store cool but not cold.

To me the top and bottom parts look like babies. The stump in the middle looks like this years spent tuber. So I would be hoping for two vines next year with three or four tubers for 2016 by the end of the season.
