Guys , finally had a taste of goji myself .
recently seen a picture on a different forum of a goji full of fruits
asked the owner and he told me , that the plant was 10 years old and this was the first really
heavy fruits season and confermed that the plant didn`t produce any fruit untill it was 6 years old and start to produce more and more berrys every year .....that maybe explain the price , the plant need to reach 10 years before produce fruit .

hummmmm ......:dunno:.........hard to explain the taste , but as everyone compered to the taste of tomato , it`s actually wrong , they initially sweet , untill a bitter taste kick in ....not bad , but not amazing .....they do look like micro tomato and not just the color but even the seeds are the same .....overall I would say that, it`s a super plants , able to survive any UK condition and will not be surprice to see going wild in years to come .
      worth having one :blue thumb:

Got to taste my first berries this year, too. What a disappointment! Perhaps they're better dried...if not, they'll go the same way as the horrible French prickly raspberries:paladin:

Must admit that the six berries we had tasted quite nice, though six berries in almost six years isn't what I'll call a productive plant. It's now a "wasn't" plant and replaced by a cherry.
