Bilbo. I've a piece of (or pieces) of Derbyshire next to the pond. You'll be pleased to hear that.

When I was over at The Alpine Centre in Derbyshire, they had Derbyshire tufa for sale, insisting it was much better than Welsh tufa, so I stuck 4 pieces in the van and they now reside next to the pond with Saxifrages inserted into them. Got any more? :) :)

Made a little sculpture out of mild steel. (Well, OK, I drew out the shapes and a local metal fabricating shop shaped, welded and galvanized it.) Dug the hole this morning. (Ground was harder than rock. So hard, I couldn't sledge hammer metal spikes into the ground!) Threw in a lorry wheel. Wonder of wonders. The wheel was dead level! Slodged a load of concrete in around it then hoisted my monstrosity on top. I was wrecked for an hour, then recovered and took some pics.

                              Fantastic garden Kindredspirit.
Love the sculpture, really well set, it draws the eye to it and offsets all the planting around it. Makes you appreciate all the plant colours and shapes.
                              Just lovely!
