It's lovely Korean fir probably .. I always want one. Planted one in the wrong place and it was distorted by other plants nearby. Replanted it and killed it. Every Christmas, I wanted to buy one, but didn't want to part with a tenner and missed it every year.

Wonderful waterlilies. I've still got the seeds. Should have tried them when the terrible heat was predicted. I was trying to scratch the hard surface of the seeds. Of course, only scratched my fingers, not the seed... Gave up and they are somewhere in a seed box.

Thank you. It is always a real treat to see your lovely photos. Can you tell me the name of the green/yellow plant growing in great abundance around your little pond in your very last July photo? My ten year garden plan features a pond :heehee: and I really like the look of that.

                              Hi Irmemac,

                              They're two different plants actually.

The yellow one is Creeping Jenny, a lovely, slowly spreading plant, which is easily controlled.

The green one is Sedum Spirit with yellow flowers and is the greatest thug known to mankind. It looks nice but has out of control, worldwide ambitions and I'm going to try and completely eradicate it this winter.

:sofa: Thank you for the names, and also for the warning about the sedum.... I will not assist with its world domination!
