Another few troughs changed from wacky to conventional.

I'm thinking of lining some more troughs alongside the pond.

December afternoon sunlight. We've had 3 months of continuous rain so no need to replenish pond water levels.

        Staddle stones creeping into garden.

        Plants in above pic.
        315° from staddle stone. Loquat.
        Left of staddle stone. Kniphofia.
Just below staddle stone. Row of Phormiums.
At edge of water. Carex Pendula on left, (growing IN the water.) Bulrushes to their right; far right in distance, Reed Canary Grass. (all local plants.)
Beyond staddle stone and to its right. Nandina Domestica.
        45° from stone. Buddleia.
Big lump on right. Cortaderia Richardii.
Green gunge in water marks place where Arrowheads surface in the summer.

Also thinking at moment about sticking local Gorse in front of Buddleia.

Spot on. It's a Maidenhair Spleenwort top left as well.

Ahh, the upright habit confused me.

Lost my fern collection when I moved.

Hope to get a new one established one day, I made a doodle of what I had in mind,
