Good for you Zig.:dbgrtmb::dbgrtmb: Now, if you are thinking of crossing the bridge your passport needs to have at least 6 months left on it. You MUST have the correct visa and you must be prepared for a full body scan.:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::thumb:

Things have been that tight that when the Chiltern Seed Catalogue came thru the door today, my first thoughts weren't "Oh great a seed catalogue" more, "Oh Great, soft paper"

I should have said. Obviously, the demise of your own business isn't something to celebrate, but at least you now have some stability and security :thumb:

Still keeping it trading as a non limited sole trader, as there are jobs that i've priced for that clients want me to do in the spring. Will fit them in at weekends:mute:

Stability would be good at the moment, with everything else going trees up, need something definate for the kids.

No need for the health insurance, we have the best health care in this part of Britain. Roubles? Naah, just plenty of the gold coloured coins with little Leeks on. Caerdydd NEEDS a lot of work doing to it. As does Casnewydd. Just remember Cwmbran has FREE parking.:yess::loll::loll:

If you're ever in my neck of the woods, give us a shout and I'll instruct the missus to put the kettle on, and you can come and look at my patio and do that hissing noise and subtle head shake that tradesmen do, just before they announce that "It'll all have to come out.... <hiss and head shake> I'll see what I can do but its gonna cost yer".

                Cheers Dave,

I'll just use the "Its got a certain sort of Rustic Charm Madam" one there:D

John tells me your place is pronounced "Redker"

Not really a shame, been thinking for a while that i'd prefer to start a Garden Shop/Nursery type business.

As much as I love Churches & Roman Cities, i'm no Spring Badger anymore.

Good news Zig, I've been self employed in the building trade for 25 years and I never known it so slow. My colleague and I concentrate on small works, refurbishments, extensions, loft and garage conversions, etc and wheras 5 years ago we would have 3 months work lined up for the new year, at present we have 1 certainty and 3 possibles!
My garden should improve this year!

I really do wish you luck, but didn't you say

The driving will tire you out surely.

Some one I know had to travel long distances in the same day, then back to home, he eventually jacked it in, too tiring. When he did, the employer said "You have stuck it for 6 months, that's the longest anyone ever stayed" He is now self employed, and is liking it. (Bit of a struggle just now though)
