Well, there was only one nutter down the allotments this morning - as there was an arctic blast roaring through the place - that singular nutter was moi.

I've decided to convert one of the arches into an arbour - somewhere nice to sit outside - I can sit in the shed when the weather in inclement.

      Pic's to follow....

This is the converted arch - with seat and back installed and some pic's of a few things sprouting mid winter - I'm not saying that this is due to global warming:

Had to have a wry smile this morning.

One of the allotment holders is bringing in a professional gardener to dig over their plot....

              Yes, it is amusing...
However, I can totally understand this! Maybe they are carrying an injury or an illness. They can keep the plot going, but can’t do the annual prep. I think generally, much better to keep active during the year, for the one-off outlay....
              ....or maybe, they’re lazy!

To be fair - it is illness - and there is a plot inspection coming up.

Apparently there is a 'new' plot inspector who is ruthless but fair - that would be me ;).

A bit chilly this morning - so only me there.

Fence posts installed Tuesday and cross bars installed this morning- uprights prepped tomoz and installed Monday.

Thinking about installing a gate to the entrance at the top of my plot. Once the greenhouse is installed - I'll build another fence along the other length of the plot.

Change of plan. I'm building the other side of fencing now - posts and cross bars installed. Gate to be built and installed next week. I was quite surprised, given the howling icy winds down there today, I was joined by two other maniacs. Thought that it would be nice to add in a picture of the daffs:

Today - gate installed - finished off fence top cross bars - seating to arch installed. I am going to attach the bottom of the uprights to the raised beds - to save installing lower cross bars. Can you guess my plot number?
