    Scotkat, now death valley is something else, did you come in over the mountains?
    Total desolation until you reach the date palms of furnace creek.

    Yes we did come in over the mountains and roads as I said some were my words ziggy.:)And the heights and drops. I have to say I did share the driving an dhappy I did but did get a bit dizzy.I was surprised how a lot of the palms and cacti and trees so dry.

    But seeing is believing Spectacular,how do we top this.

    We have see quite a bit of America,a little of Canada and been to Australia with a stop over in Singapore.

    My husband has seen more as he travels with his job.

    We did the plane as we talked to a few people who had done heli even they touched down in the Canyon.

    But did say you did see more in the 50 mins with the plane..

    My son took a lot with the viedo,maybe can post a short movie here .

    Is that possible.

    Wonderful pictures, and boring they ain't. Never been there and its lovely to see those spectacular views. You must be still about 6" off the ground - a wonderful time.

    breadth-takingly beautiful scotkat and definately not boring me, when i was living in america thats a place i never got to see, never mind i,ve got yours to look at. [​IMG]

    So can I, hopefully we will go in couple years time and see it for ourselves. The canyons are calling! :D keep them coming S.

    As you can see this is one of the seven wonders.
    Death Valley with the high temps 112 deg when we drove through and this was not the highest.

    You can just imagine why it got this name.

    If it had not been so hot we would have stayed longer ,felt my skin burning and I wore high factor cream.

    Sand was like and egg timer,when you picked up.

    I was mesmirised by it all.You can't imagine a place like this until you see it for yourself.

    I feel privilaged to have been able to visit this beautiful place.

    You could have looked at it for hrs and seen something different each time.

    Hope you enjoy.

    Sorry not put on any more phots sadly my brother passed away on wed.
    Funeral tomorrow.
    We lost our parents Feb then march.
    Not only an orphan that is my birth family all gone.

    My brother had MND so sad.
    Please bear with me for any more input at thsi sad time.

    My shoulders cant take any more sadness at this time.
