Grey squirrel and common rat

    It could possibly be a grey squirrel that has mange ,ie. hair gone from the tail in particular !

    Ah, well, so it's not a squirrat: it's just a mangey squirrel.

    Rats can climb! My local ones climb up between the outer walls and timber frame of my house and get into the loft and create havoc. So I have to get the council rat catcher (a lady) out every so often to lay poison. In the quiet of the night, they make a helluva racket running around in the loft.

    I highly doubt this as squirrels are "diurnal" (animals of the day) and most common breeds of rats are "nocturnal". This is genetically built into them.

    Does this mean that the Squirats are insomniacs?
