Growing Big Onions from seed

    It's funny, year round i go from boots to flip flops there no inbetween:biggrin:...saying that on days i have to be 'lady like' and wear heels....it's hard work trying not to walk like John Wayne:lunapic 130165696578242 5:....haven't had any Docs in years:blue thumb:....i promise i'm not as 'butch' as i sound:biggrin:

      I'll be growing my Kelsaes again next year along with some Ailsaes, new onion bed should be up and fully prepped within a month, sowing seed on December 26th (with a hangover!), haven't done too badly this year with a rotten summer, so hoping for better next year.

            Okey dokey, but from what I know, Kelsae are the Onion of choice for growing whoppers:dunno:

            Yes so i understand....but these took my fancy...Mammoth Improved...got to be worth a go:thumbsup: i'll only have room for half a dozen and there's 100seeds so if anyone fancies any give me a shout:dbgrtmb:

            18" between plants for really giant onions, I keep 10" between mine and do ok.

            Freddy, your seed is all packaged up, just saving up for a stamp! You'll hopefully get them sometime next week :snork:

              New onion bed being constructed tomorrow, should accommodate 36 plants, the rest are going up the allotment :)
