    Good morning all,Dave thank you for that explanation,you have put that much better than I could ever have done,the reason I use the HDR process is that it is the nearest I can get to art,as my painting talent is absolutely zero;)if I take an image that I particularly like I do have it enlarged and framed ,and it makes me feel that I have created something without a brush and many of my friends have my HDR images hanging on their walls:)

      I'm the same Woo, can't even draw water! But I do have a couple of HDR processed 'pictures' framed, though there's no one beating a path to my door for my 'art'. :cry3:

      Just to add.

      It can be a right pain when there are strong light sources. One takes what one thinks is a half-decent picture, only to find that parts of it are bleached out. I always find my best pics are taken on dull days, when the light is a lot more even.

      It's a very clever way of producing the effects you describe.

      Woo..........You've hit the nail right on the head for me! Now I understand why I had a problem with the pictures, because they look more like paintings than photo's. :)
