    thank God, its over. Now I have all this candy to deal with. We had about 30 kids.

      @Dips I was just down the road from you from Friday to Sunday but no fireworks or 'trick or treating'. :blue thumb:

      I was at the Holiday Inn at the airport. :heehee:

        Ah that is just down the road altho far enough away to not see the fireworks and too far for any trick or treaters to walk from mine. Their poor legs would fall off lol

        How was the holiday inn?

        We had about 120 of us staying on DB&B (the rest stayed elsewhere) for a big national bridge tournament.

        The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
        The staff were brilliant - cheerful, friendly and efficient (I sent an email to the General Manager congratulating them).
        Breakfast and dinner were buffet and very good, seeing that they had to cater for so many in a very short period of time. A good choice of food, well cooked (I went and thanked the chef), hot and tasty.

        The best I've had in a chain hotel, particularly as it really caters mainly for transient residents just going to the airport.
