Thanks Jenny and Spruce! I like that Fern, it looks really good. Your baskets with Begonias in look fantastic Spruce. I'll do a bit of Googling and put an order in.

@Fern4 , these begonia baskets from 2011 are on a Northish facing wall , gets sun until late morning mid year. They are B. Illumination scarlet and apricot shades . Lots of GCs sell these from May ( they wont take any frost ). Just three to a basket with pellet fertiliser and feed with tomato food late in the season . They will flower through to November with no deadheading or maintenance at all . You can plant a couple of complimentary colour fuschias in as well :dbgrtmb:
The B. Boliviensis ( single bell shaped flowers )I have only seen mail order.

oooo basket clematis ! New one to me , we must have a full 20 page GC report on these Jenny when they establish :dbgrtmb:
Ferns in baskets - never thought of that . A droopy one would look stunning in a shadey basket.

I use 14" baskets Fern . We like the raffia cone ones they can last 4 or 5 years . I use the standard shaped half ball baskets at the front of the house - so I don't bump my head ! A full basket is solid and it hurts !
Below , from last year , are white trailing B.Illumination with white trailing fuschias ( 3 begonias + 2 fuschias ) Total cost about £6 and you can save the begonia tubers for next year :dbgrtmb:
