I noticed Aldi were selling complete and filled hanging baskets for £3.99 the other day, they were "flying out."

for years i have been planting petunias in hanging baskets and pots, which i have quite a few i think this year it must be around 40 containers . i have discovered over the years i had been overplanting in the containers (too many plants in the one container ). i have found if you put too many plants in the one container they are all fighting for survival and it is the survival of the fittest.
i reduced the number of plants i planted.as a guide in a 10 inch hanging basket i planted 2 petunia plants . i feed them on MIRACLE GROW as soon as i plant. when i am watering the plants i do not wet the flowering plants, i only wet the roots in a cicular motion, or the shape of the container, working from the outer edge of the container to the centre. this will give you a shape of the container in the growth of the petunias like a bouquet of flowers you would purchase from a florist. i have friends who have borrowed some of my pots for weddings to put on display at their doorways.:gnthb: music:cool:.
