        :) Thank you so much Clare, Clive, Dave and John. After an electrical storm and torrential rain late morning we had a wonderful lunch at the beach ... :yay:

        Clive and Dave, we are hoping we get to Madeira this year as the ferry now goes from Portimão and we can drive there ... :yess:

        By the way, I had chicken breast stuffed with ginger and spinach for lunch, strange but incredible ... €12 ... I brought half home with me because it was two breasts ... but they do come in pairs, don't they? :dbgrtmb:

              Thank you Chris, Armandii and Kandy. We are enjoying our daily outings ... although the weather is hit and miss it's better than where we were going up on the West Coast. May head toward the Spanish border tomorrow (Mertola on the Guardiana River) as we have not ventured there before so will have camera to hand ... :yess:

                    Hi there Victoria,

                    Both Mrs Pip and I are fine, you and t'other 'alf ok? Spoke to inlaws the other day and they too are a bit down with the weather. We were in Spain 5 weeks ago and had a great week with the sunshine, booked a couple of flights for another visit in May, hopefully weather will have improved by then.

                    Started taking Spanish lessons at beginning of year and I am loving it.
