I'm amazed how efficient Nicola is - I rang today to say I hadn't heard after requesting to be put on her register of garden maintenance, and it was done within quarter of an hour!! Listing, complete with my website and info, and photo!! (not of me, of course, don't wnat to frighten customers off!)
    :D

[IMG] Print them off Dag... :D Might get a headache if you stand on your head too long.... :D Is the best way for the moment, for you then Dag. Maybe re-suggest after launch. I think the launch is more important at the moment for them & then they can look at differnt suggestions after that... ;) :D

All I can say is this is an amazing gardening site. Nicola has bent over backwards to help and find every plant I have. She tells me that soon she will be testing a virtual garden which you can use to either plan your own or simply make a plan of what you have already. When this arrives I will definately be using it and hope to help in the beta testing. At the moment the membership is free but obviously Nicola wants to make some money out of it and quite reasonably she argues that it costs and has already cost a lot of money. She could generate revenue from advertising however we all know how aggravating it is to have adverts popping up everywhere and filling up useful gardening page space. She has therefore decided to charge a membership fee which I am sure will not be much and certainly will be very good value for money. You have to remember that this site is not only a gardening calender which automatically gives you tips and instructions as to what to do with your particular plants at certain times of the year. It is also a very useful reference library with articles from recent gardening magazines and lists of landscapers, tree surgeons, garden designers, retailers etc. The whole site has a very user friendly attitude and Nicola encourages member feedback and participation. If you havent done so already I urge you to sign on during this period of free membership, have a look around and use it and I almost guarantee that you will agree with me http://www.shootgardening.co.uk

I do agree. Although I signed up the first time I saw it on our adverts. bar, I will be contributing the joining fee. The more input there is, the better the site becomes. I very much like the idea of a virtual garden as I am useless at garden design. [IMG]

    Dear All,

Many of your signed up for a BETA trial at shoot after some of your members found us on the internet.

Just to let you know we now have some new functionality now too - e.g. you can post a full page on your garden - with a picture, description and full planting list. Then visitors can find you by area, the first part of your postcode, or by the style of your garden.

    http://www.shootgardening.co.uk/sitePage.php?pageid=91&name=new-members--gardens

Let me know what you think!

    Thanks for all your support.

    All the best, Nicola

[IMG] This looks an interesting idea, what do you all think of this new section then?? [IMG] It seems that Shoot is really coming on in leaps & bounds now. I thought the Chelsea gardens were good. Did any of you see the Mail on Sunday article??? ;) :D
