    I think you are really going to have to feed it if you want it to come on, maybe give it a prune next winter when leafless, they flower on the new seasons growth.

    I think you really should consider feeding during the growing seasons especially as you have so much in containers, it does make a big different to the health of all container plants.
    I rarely feed anything growing in the ground.

      I will feed it this evening. To be honest I have only had the plant since November and didn't think it would need it, but hey ho. I will also prune it when leafless. Thanks for advice.

        You normally start to feed, depending on compost, 4 to 6 weeks after potting up during the times the plant is in growth, or if its not rooting well, then hold off feeding until it is.

          No fertiliser during hibernation.
          I think that's what it means, but while growing you fertilise and water fairly freely.
