    Thanks Joe/Dave
Now I know where the limits are!
I did ponder for quite a while before posting this picture and you quite correct about the drop outs.
No more over the top HDR from me.
    Thanks
    robert

I know I said "no more over the top HDR" but picture was so short of blue I could not resist a few changes.

Just got home from a two week holiday so missed quite a bit of what's been happening here.
Robert - I think that last pic is rather good but I'd be tempted to crop out the lower half or third of sand so that the lower part of the pic is just water.

:thumb: I like that one Robert, but I think I might agree with Dave about the cropping.. Give it a try....
:dh: I haven't had much time to play recently, but will have a try over the weekend perhaps. I have taken a few shots to try though..!!:)

    Roberts latest HDR.
St Nicks church in York. Three bracketed +- exposure for the HDR and finished in PS. No matter what I try I cannot get any more detail from the stained glass window in the background.

Now that I do REALLY LIKE Robert!!
I could see that framed as a piece of modern art.

I really could see that sunset on the wall in a gallery Robert. I think it's a great image.
Here's a recent HDR of of mine. I managed to get into a cathedral when we were south of Hadrain's wall last week. Just got home today so haven't yet had much time to play with processing.

I like the first one best Dave.
For me I feel the second one is slighly overdone but it does sort of age the image very well.
Reminds me of the Chapter House in York Minster which really needs wider then my 28mm min to get the best.

Just enriched the colour for you Dave.
May well be a bit deep in places, but i think it gives more atmosphere.
    Joe.

Two pictures of Stonegate in York.
I have taken several over the years and its always a problem to get the exposure correct because of the vast contrast range from the bright sky to deep shadows at street level.
This first picture is a single exposure not edited in any way.

This second image is processed via HDR using three bracketed exposures -1 to +1 followed by some magic in photoshop.
I think you can see an amazing difference.
