    Real shame to see these old buildings in this state. and for some reason your image has captured that very well Dave. Like it a lot.

    We know an old chap in the village who used to live in it. It's been derelict now for the past 20 years and shows more sign of decay year by year. A real shame as the cottage is in a lovely spot.

    I thought I'd see what Photomatix and HDR would do in monochrome. For this subject I think it worked quite well.

    We usually manage a walk down to the river on New Year's Day, and although today started bright, frosty and sunny, by the time Mrs W and sis in law were ready to go out the clouds had rolled over. Put paid to my intentions of a panoramic pic of the village up on the hill:mad: But I did manage this

    I only just catched uo with this thread that spooky monochrome version of the neglected cottageiswonderful. Very gothic. WOW!

    Must admit. the NRM is a challenge if you want good pictures. The lighting in there is awful..
