Yes Sheal, that's me done and dusted now :dbgrtmb:
Thank you for the welcome to this great site.
Seems like the best time to join, just before the new season starts and we can all help each other with some great tips. I've already noted some to try already.
We haven't had anything of a winter here yet, although the forecast is cold in the morning but warming up before lunchtime.
The weather did this to me last year, and then temperatures plummeted to -23C for a whole week, then -20C for a fortnight after that, destroying our hydrangea flowers (from 65 plants, we only got 16 flowers):mute: so we're hoping that it doesn't hit us so hard this year. We still had ice and snow in our garden until mid-May last year, so here's hoping ...
    :fingers crossed:

I tried yesterday, but I couldn't post any. Zigs said it could be I'd have to wait a bit in case of spam. As soon as I can, I will.

As for Wee Eck,,, nah! I'd get banned on my second day here if I started on that wee fat nyaff

Fat wee nyaff sums him up pretty well - I just hope that the majority of Scots see him for what he is.

:) Hi G and welcome to GC.

My sister lives in Oldenburg and has done since 1967 ... a long, long, long time also! But now she and her husband (a German ex-English teacher) part-time in Florida where they go to next Saturday till mid-May ... to escape your weather!

I love the pictures of your house and garden and reminds me very much of theirs near the Buergerbushweg.

              Hope you enjoy the forum.

                Thanks a lot, Victoria.
I know Oldenburg, decent little town near Bremen. I've been there a couple of times to visit some friends.
Our weather isn't too bad at the moment. We had some rain today, but we've not had any frost yet this winter, and I don't mind if we don't get any either...
