Help ! Gardening nightmare !

you've got me all fired up now and I'm excited about the possibilities , love the idea of lavender bushes @Verdun

I think for now the green house will stay and will look at cleaning it up , at the moment a local black cat seems to like sleeping in there

@noisette47 yes there are brambles unfortunately , with plastic grass does that have to be laid on soil or can it be on top of anything?

how is the best way to clean the decking? will soap , water and a brush do it or does it have to be specialist cleaning solutions? and should I leave that until the warmer weather?

I assume with the bottom of the garden if the decision was to put a lawn there i assume it would be a lot of work to get rid of the slabs and put soil down to lay the turf on?

the sun starts from the left of the garden as i look down it in the morning and works its way across to the right side by the end of the day , there is a large conifer on the left of the lawned part of the garden that casts some shade but from the green house down it gets a lot of sun

did you use weedkiller on the bramble bushes?

 

Hi again, I believe that it's recommended to lay artificial turf on a 1 1/2 " layer of sharp sand, but depending on your soil, you might be able to lay it directly on sandy, well levelled soil. As long as there are no perennial weed roots in it!

 

Looks like you have a great garden. I would just prune everything back,clean the greenhouse,jetwash the deck and paving then grab a bottle of red and a big bag of crisps and sit back enjoy and chill. :drunk:

@SunWorshiper When you get round to your decking that will need a good jet washing off and then restaining...we do that with ours every year, then when it's dry hoover it to make sure it's really clean and on a warm day with no winds it's then stained

 

to GC. your garden has so much potential. Lots to keep you busy .

 

@Freddy had a long garden that he worked wonders with, perhaps he could give you some ideas on how to make the best of yours.

What i would do is clear a area to have a fire, then get in there and cut everything right back, keep working at it tidying cutting turning borders over making them neat and before you know it your garden will look different again,

No disrespect but your garden is only suffering neglect, once you get a few areas cleared it will give you motivation to do the rest,

Once you have it back under control its only a few hours a week to keep it in good shape ,

Please keep us informed of your progress it will be nice to see it transformed,

This was my garden 2014 it took me months to get it to this stage,
