Help identify lawn issue

    Thanks Pete, what do you think of a low effort way to proceed being scarify these areas and reseed with a fescue/bent mix and over the course of a few years hopefully change the structure of the lawn? Also mowing down to this height regularly to frustrate the rye and appease the fescue/bent?

    As I said earlier, I'm no grass expert, mine is mostly weeds.:biggrin:
    I just tend to know a bit about the basics.

    My personal approach would be, scarify, feed and water and keep cut, and see how it goes.

    I think if you want to overseed, it might be best to wait a month or so, although it has been like autumn already.

    I think you said you had a dog?
    Never have a "lawn" with a dog you mostly only have "grass", but its worth it.;)
