Evening @wiseowl - tread carefully, as that doesn't look like a torx bolt to me; torx are usually five pointed:

I would suggest measuring the distance across the head from one flat to an adjacent one (see my rough image), and that will tell you what size of socket you need. I would guess 10 or 12mm

Turning the screw using a socket on the flats, you are less likely to muller the head, and lessen the risk of a screwdriver bit pinging out and scratching the paint. I'd also put some folded kitchen roll on horizontal surface that is underneath that bolt in case anything drops.

I will just be chuffed for Mrs Woo to be happy with her car, and our Woo to have gained a few brownie points. :dbgrtmb:

I have saved a fortune thanks to car websites over the years (one in particular more than others), and in reality they are no different to here - - like minded people who just want to give something back to those that have helped them or others in the past. The best of it is, we all know that our Woo has already given so much in advice and assistance to us all, particularly when it comes to roses - - lets be honest, he is our 'go to' guy :dbgrtmb:

I agree with every word FC and if we could create a commune with the members of GC it would be rich in knowledge and totally self sufficient! :) And here's to Woo of course......:love30:

It is there honest I could paint it out in Paintshop pro but it would still be on the car staring at me:whistle:

                        Hi Woo :)

                        Glad you got sorted :)

I can't see the scratch on your photos at the moment, but if it's not deep I would be inclined to try T-Cut, Scratch X or even a polish that has a light cutting action such as AutoGlym Super Resin Polish

Failing that, if it is very light, consider a filler wax such as Bilt Hambers Auto Balm

                            Hi Woo :)

Nice and gentle with the T-Cut on that metallic paint, and make sure you follow it up with a wax or a polish; that scratch should buff out just fine :)

That's good news Woo, I'm glad to hear it all went well with the bumper. Now the bodywork. Mrs Woo's car will be like new by the time you've finished with it. :)
