Oh dear, apologies for that. The truth is may people taking the survey probably aren't experiencing too many issues, but a lot of the preliminary research stated that muscle degradation begins (Note: BEGINS) at around 50. This will vary hugely from person to person of course, but I felt there was no harm in getting a wide range of data. The analysis will give us enough to see the condition that each person is in physically against how they cope with the design of their mowers. We should see people who have a clean bill of health who have no problems, people who are fit and healthy who have one or two concerns, and people who have medical conditions and how this affects their abilities to use their mowers. Basically loads of nice data that can be compared and contrasted.

Just be happy that I'm the once sitting in front of MS Excel and SPSS, and not yourselves.

        Just to say,

I do not mind passing on comments or answering questions to a person for which needs to gain knowledge of the age he/she shall attain in the future. We are at that age or getting close to or past beyond it, our knowledge of this can only help to improve matters for the generations to come.
How else are we to gain experience from our elders if we as elders do not pass on comments and techniques which been our down fall in the past.

Support is what I have given as my own son is going through this at Cambridge with Enviromental studies. To which I am glad I have had an influance in this.

Do not be shy of this, be mindful and help the future today.:dbgrtmb:

Its alright I have jumped down off me box now

Thanks for coming back and keeping us informed
I do feel some of your questionaire may have had some indication of what size lawns people were using what mower on, to validate your survey

ie:- Me 65 with a petrol push wheel mower, only 30sq meters on a slight slope
          no problem
However 100sq meters would be a problem,
Where to an 80yr old with a ride on it would not be, or a 25year old with an Hover

          IMHO

Fair play to you for you just for responding. A lot of people post, gather their data then disappear.

I'd still like to participate in your survey but I'm still too young :chicken:

Muscle degradation begins as soon as you stop using your muscles.

Ah, SPSS. That takes me back. I used to have the pleasure about 15 years ago. Lucky for me I wasn't very good at it, so my boss at the time left me to get on with what I enjoyed, what wasn't SPSS:)
