    Good Taste DUBMAN :dbgrtmb:
To collect daylily seed you have to wait quite a few weeks, I dead head mine, but if you want to collect seed you have to wait for the flower to drop off which it will in a few days and underneath you'll see a tiny green seed pod (not always though they don't always form seeds) this will swell and eventually turn brown and open then you'll see the quite large black seeds inside they'll just shake out be careful not to miss them.
I grow quite a lot of perennial salvias and really the same with them you just wait for the flowering stem to turn brown and the seeds just shake out.

'Cameroons' really fabulous colour on this unusual form (picture doesn't do it justice), the petals twist and curl very pretty, first flower, later flowers have a much more chalky eyezone.

So sorry to hear about your doggie. We lost one of ours a couple of weeks ago. She was a 16 years old lab so don't worry, lots of years to go yet!

Thanks Pollie, Fudge has only had a couple of his antibiotics and seems much better already, fast asleep snoring his head off at the moment:), was really worried about taking him to the vet as he has a really large fatty pad on his chest and was worried thats what was causing the coughing, pressing on his heart or lungs, the things that go through your mind:rolleyespink:.
Sorry to hear you lost one of yours, 16's a great age for a lab, doesn't make it any easier though.

one other thing whilst we are on the subject of dogs, my 8month pup had an operation today, had his "testies" removed. poor pup is sooo drousey! he came running in earlier and practically fella asleep in mid run and nose dived into his bed with his bum in the air! he had to have them done as he was getting way to boisterious...poor pup.

Aaaah poor little fella, sorry shouldn't laugh but can just picture him falling over asleep mid run:heehee:, what sort of dog is he DUBMAN?
Know what you mean though we had to have Fudge neutered a couple of years ago as he developed a lump, which the vet said was caused by too much testosterone, he wasn't kidding looked out the window one day to see hubby sat on the step with a rather large lab on his back getting very frisky, and Fudge is one very strong dog, lol, nearly choked on my tea.
There are some great daylily names aren't there have one called 'Slipped my Disco' :heehee: .
