      There's no such thing as a silly question. They are all relevant to us as gardeners whether we are novices or experienced as we never stop learning. :)

        I was working out that way over 50 years ago (early sixties) :old:. In those days the Edward Hotel had a very good shaded terrace on the front that was right by the beach. Good food and drink ;)

          That's a long time ago. I work in the hotel industry I think that hotel is still around.

          The other hotel I used to eat at quite a lot was very posh in those days. It was the Royal on Smith St. It was jacket and tie no matter what the weather was like. That wasn't a problem as they kept a couple of wardrobes in the foyer full of jackets and ties and the doorman used to sort out something that matched your trousers and shirt! :)

          Wow. You will never believe it but, the group I work for has just perchased the royal hotel.
