Love that Pal and of course Fi, she's a real poppet and would take a shine to you.

    Excellent view from Portland!

I'd like a holiday sometime ... haven't had one in ten years but the Sunday outings are nice. [IMG]

Strongy..I'm not keen on the tourists either.. that's why we go away out of season! ;)
BM,it was a one bed place and not for kiddies really :( .But Weymouth is just the place for them to play and be safe in and there is plenty to do if the weather turns bad.
Mrs Pal washed the car and she says thanks for noticing it! :D
Actually Honey Bee we didn't! ...we meant to but never got round to it...

After ten years of no holidays (living here DOES NOT count), our garden centre friend has rented a cottage in the mountains near Cordoba in Spain in August and last night invited us to join them for a few days to "chill out" (his words, he's young, only 42).

It's under a four-hour drive so we'll more than likely be accepting the kind offer. We'll hire a house/pet sitting person ... we know of a very reputable one. Hurray! Maybe I should wait till it happens before I get too excited. Hopefully we are having Sunday lunch together to confirm things before he goes off Monday for two weeks to Madeira on his permaculture course. [IMG]

    A holiday,hurrah [IMG]

A nice break in the mountains sounds fantastic especially in August in your part of the world as it does get rather hot in the lower regions(I mean the lower regions of land [IMG] )

A good camera,a pair of binoculars, some walking boots, all the flora and fauna you could wish for, absolute heaven [IMG]

That would be lovely Sis, do take them up on the offer. You both could do with a break and change of scene after all the mess, work and the recent the sad event. A 4-hour drive is long enough to be enjoyable and get to see things along the way without being overly long.
