Well like the past few years my holidays will be a couple of trips to Malta, (we have a family boat out there) and should get to take my son out with me this year if school allows him time off (they've gotten strict).

Went to Belfast with my mum last year so hopeing to continue with our tour of Ireland and northern Ireland by going to visit some family with the family to Dublin.

I would also like a weekend somewhere in scotland this year too.

All the above depend on the ability to get cheap flights.

Ovacik, Turkey. So we can go on a gulet cruise, kick off our shoes when we go aboard and not put them on again until we land back in a harbour.:gnthb: Nights spent sleeping on deck with only the light from the stars to see by. Swimming in secluded bays shared only with the fishes. A few Efes to finish the evening off:). Bring it on.:gnthb:

Wazzakins and I are off to Kenya for 2 weeks:thmb: for the last two weeks of next month. So we will be in Mombasa for Valentine's Day. We have planned to do some safaris and will decide on which ones to do pretty soon, and for me to visit all my old haunts and get all dewy eyed over it all. will go visit my Primary and Secondary School again.

Then going to Porlock Vale House in Somerset in mid June.
    (www.helpfulholidays.com) Ref F30.
There will be 25/ 28 of us on this holiday. It is the annual holiday for the MX-5 Oxford Club and we always have a great time. Should be some good driving country around there too.

Might also do 1 week camping in France with friends but that has not been finalised yet. We have a 6 men tent that has yet to be christened.:) plus I need stocking up on wines and what better excust to go to France.

Kenya is on our 'list' Shobhna but not for a couple of years. Then Inhouse Advisor can get all dewy eyed too (if there is anything left after 40 years).

We have just come back from Gran canaria and found the DIY that we normally do was much more expensive than a package with half board.
It is so expensive to eat out , it was not just us that noticed it everyone was saying the same.
Even the supermarket prices had gone up a lot.
A lot of people were living on beans on toast sandwiches etc it was just to much money to keep buying a "proper" meal.
We were in Mogan which I suppose is a little more expensive than other areas .
Some of the tour operators are doing deals, we had £300 off our First choice holiday after negotiations with them. LOL
2 weeks half board with transfers, which would cost £100 euros by taxi.
Was £1,500 for the 2 of us.
That was it ,nothing else to pay other than our entertainment. Drinks trips etc.
I no it's nice to eat out sometimes but we could swop our evening meal for lunch if we wanted.
    Not for everyone I no.
But it saved us a lot of money.
Just though I would point it out so to give you the facts as we saw them.:)

We decided to go half board as 13 meals out could be too expensive (particularly Madeira) so we can just have some out, not every night.

Pip you must like the heat, it was around 40/43c day and 30c night when we went in August couple of years ago. There were even electric fans outside on the railings by the harbour in Kyrenia. :D
